The hand-held device placed on your skin shoots the ultrasound every second, and it feels very similar to tiny electrical pulses — a little prickly, tickly and with some warmth.

As HIFU is entirely a non-invasive treatment, it has little to no downtime.

However, the treatment(s) may cause redness, mild discomfort, pain or sensation of heat for a few seconds. These effects are brief, and are usually resolved instantly.

Pain relief medication can be taken, and generally redness subsides within an hour post-treatment. You will be able to return to your normal routine straight away, but you should refrain from sunbathing and reduce sub exposure in general.
